To terminate a temporary restraining order, simply do not go to court or go to court and request that the court drop the matter from calendar without issuing a permanent order. After a permanent restraining order has issued, you must formally request that the court terminate the order if you want it to end before the scheduled termination date. The restraining order will remain in place until after the hearing, so the restrained person must still obey the order.
